Enter by the regional deadline!

Your teen can login at portal.artandwriting.org to begin uploading their art and writing entries. Deadlines vary by region starting December 1. Visit My Region to find your deadline.

Pay the Entry Fee

Entry fees are $10.00 per individual entry and $30.00 per portfolio. Entry fees support your regional program and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the nonprofit organization that presents the Scholastic Awards. If the fee is a barrier to your teen’s participation, they can use a fee waiver at checkout.

Check back in January!

All complete entries will be considered for regional awards, including Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention. Gold Key works will go on to be considered for a national medal. Your teen can login at the end of January to see if their work won a regional award. Some regions announce their winners earlier. Visit My Region to find your regional program and learn more.
